Dental Tartar Cleaning

Instead of applying porcelain veneers to darkened or yellowed teeth, teeth whitening method is applied and at the end of this process, the teeth are lightened up to 3-5 shades depending on their condition.

 

Scaling, also known as tartar removal or scaling, is the appearance of bacterial plaque as yellow and brownish stains on the surface of teeth. Your dentist will first perform an oral examination and determine whether a standard tartar removal or a more advanced cleaning is necessary.

 

If a deep tartar cleaning decision is made, gum curettage or flap surgery is performed.

 

According to the recommendation of the World Dental Federation (FDI), dental tartar cleaning should be done at least twice a year.
